I. LOVE. Chocolate.
Who doesn’t? Am I right ladies?
If you’ve been a fit girl reader for a while, you’ve definitely seen my love of chocolate — umm, hello gooey-chocolatey brownies…oh and hiiiii, raspberry cream truffles — and you know I am NOT afraid to eat chocolate. But many times I am asked how I am able eat chocolate and stay fit.
I’m a HUGE advocate for BALANCE, and when I have a craving — like chocolate — I don’t deprive myself.
I wont’t lie, I usually have a tiny bit of chocolate almost everyday. YUP! You heard right.
I love creating recipes using dark chocolate and making them a little healthier and lighter — that way I can still enjoy one of my favorite guilty pleasures!
Almost an eternity ago, I was scrolling through Pinterest and found a delicious way to indulge in a little chocolate AND get some protein in! A protein-packed, chocolatey treat? COUNT ME IN!!
Luckily, one of my favorite ingredients — nonfat Greek yogurt — can make one of the tastiest treats ever!
Who knew when you combined protein-packed Greek yogurt, almond butter, and vanilla together it tasted like cookie dough? (You know I love anything cookie dough…remember that five-minute freezer fudge? Mmmm!)
Ok, so it’s not EXACTLY like cookie dough, but it comes close enough! Top that with a few extra dark chocolate chips and violá! Deliciousness in about 2 minutes!
- In a medium bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, almond butter, honey, and vanilla until smooth.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Enjoy as is OR freeze for 45 minutes to enjoy as a frozen treat!
