This is a seasoning I use ALL THE TIME. I have it at least a few times a week on tilapia. I use it frequently on shrimp, I mix it with other spices like in my Fish Taco Recipe . Nik has also used it on chicken and in other seasoning for steak and pork.
I adapted this recipe from Emeril Lagasse’s Emeril’s Essence Seasoning, I just cut the salt down. It’s extremely easy to make and by making it yourself you can tweak the recipe to meet your tastebud needs as well.
- 1 ½ tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt (optional)
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- Store in an air tight container.
