Green Tea Facial Toner

DIY Green Tea Toner

You girls know I am all about all-natural skin care, and at the end of last year I made it my goal to completely cut out conventional beauty products by 2016.

Which was actually much easier than I thought!

As you know, I use coconut oil for a lot of my beauty necessities and that I also make my own body scrubs. But, I also make my own homemade soap and I’ve even made my own lip balm before.

But, one of the hardest conventional products for me to give up was my facial astringent. I have been using the same facial astringent (or toner) since I was about 12 years old…so giving that up was hard. Luckily, I found a perfect solution, and I LOVE it! (I’ve been using it for the last few months and before I share it with you!)

Benefits of Using a Green Tea Facial Toner

♥︎ Witch Hazel is a natural astringent that comes from the bark and leaves of the Witch Hazel plant. It has cleansing and cooling effects on the skin, and really deep cleanse your pores. It also minimizes your pores, helping to smooth out skin and prevent dirt and oil from getting into your pores.
♥︎ Green Tea is naturally high in antioxidants that protect your skin from free radicals that can damage your skin and also cause premature aging. Green tea also has anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe and calm acne or blemishes and also de-puff tired eyes.
♥︎ Tea Tree Essential Oil has cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties to help rid your skin of acne. It is a very gentle essential oil and is great for most skin types.
