I personally don’t believe in counting calories, though I realize that many people believe that counting is very important so I’ve also provided you with these calculators to find out how many calories you should be taking in each day.
Daily Calorie Requirements – Knowing how many calories your body needs to properly function is important. This will tell you how many calories you need. To lose weight it is recommended that you subtract about 500 calories per day from this number to lose a pound a week.
Basal Metabolic Calculator – This is how many calories you burn per day without additional exercise. A great tool to find out how much additional exercise is needed to reach your fitness goals.
*DISCLAIMER* Please note that all of these tools are very general. They are meant to give you a rough idea of your fitness level, and calorie intake needs. For exact measurements for YOU, you should consult with a doctor or dietitian. It is ideal that everyone consult a doctor before starting and exercise plan or any diet.
