I’ve been on a smoothie craze lately, as you’ve probably noticed from my Sunrise Smoothie, Shamrock Shake, and Vanilla Chai Smoothie. But, that’s because it’s such a perfect on-the-go breakfast or afternoon pick me up.
This latest creation is a superfood smoothie filled with cacao, coconut, hemp seeds, and my favorite staple ingredient — greek yogurt. Blend it all up with some almond milk and you have a chocolatey treat perfect for breakfast, a snack, or even as a healthy desert!
Blue Diamond’s blend of almond milk and coconut milk is like the BEST of both worlds! Sometimes I have a hard time deciding between the two and with their blend, now I don’t need to!
This is actually the first time that I’ve ever tried hemp seeds, and I now I must say I LOVE adding them to smoothies! Hemp seeds are one of the TOP superfoods out there.

- 1 frozen ripe banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt (or dairy free yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons hulled hemp seeds
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Sprinkle with extra shredded coconut and hemp seeds if desired.
- Serving Size: 1
