- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1–2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Peel and slice your sweet potatoes into fry shapes (either thick or thin), making sure to cut them about the same size and shape for even cooking.
- Place fries in a large bowl and fill with water. Soak for 45 minutes.
- Drain and pat the fries dry.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried sweet potatoes with the olive oil and spices.
- Arrange fries in an even layer on a baking sheet, and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on how thick you cut your fries, flipping the fries a few times during cooking.
- Serve warm and enjoy with all-natural ketchup or skinny cajun dip!
