Crispy Sweet Potato Fries

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 12 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • salt & pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Peel and slice your sweet potatoes into fry shapes (either thick or thin), making sure to cut them about the same size and shape for even cooking.
  3. Place fries in a large bowl and fill with water. Soak for 45 minutes.
  4. Drain and pat the fries dry.
  5. In a large bowl, toss the dried sweet potatoes with the olive oil and spices.
  6. Arrange fries in an even layer on a baking sheet, and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on how thick you cut your fries, flipping the fries a few times during cooking.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy with all-natural ketchup or skinny cajun dip!
