Healthy Cranberry Sauce

  • 2 bags of fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • juice and zest of one orange
  • 4 tablespoons honey


  1. Bring cranberries, pineapple juice, applesauce and water to a boil in a sauce pan over a medium-high heat.
  2. Lower to medium heat, and stir constantly until the cranberries start to burst, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Reduce to a simmer and pour the juice and zest over the cranberry mixture. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  5. Store in fridge at least 4 hours but preferably overnight before serving.
