Ladies, I can’t even being to tell you how excited I am about this post.

I have been searching far and wide for the perfect protein powder for years. As you may know I am truly a believer in clean eating, and I have had a very hard time finding a protein powder that I consider “clean”.

When looking for a protein powder I have always looked at package to see the ingredients, and most of the time I am bombarded with a list that has 30 or more ingredients…most of which I can’t even pronounce!

I’ve finally found my solution!!

Manitoba Harvest sent me a bag of their Hemp Pro 70 protein powder, and let me tell you, I have finally met my protein powder soulmate!

When I first got the bag, I was so pleased to see that there are only FOUR ingredients: hemp protein concentrate, coconut palm sugar (one of my favorite ingredients!), fair-trade cacao powder, and natural extracts. My dreams of a simple protein powder have come true!

And then, when I tasted it for the first time, I was even more pleased! Anytime I have attempted a cleaner protein powder, I taste it and…let just say it’s like cotton mouth. When I made my first smoothie with the Hemp Pro 70, I found that it was smooth and creamy, not chalky at all. And I LOVE how chocolatey it is!

Another wonderful benefit of this protein is that it is FULL heart healthy omega’s which not only promote cardiovascular health, but also help your hair shin and nails grow strong and beautiful.

Hemp is also easily digested, which can help those of you that may get upset stomachs with many protein powders (from all the garbage ingredients!).

Their protein powder is also completely vegan and the chocolate Hemp Pro 70 is packed with 15 grams of protein! Which is PERFECT amount, there is no need for a crazy amount of protein in your powders, it only adds extra calories. For most women 15-20 grams of protein per meal or snack is just the right amount!

Ok, so finally on to the recipe!! You may know my love of coffee and morning workouts, so It’s only fitting that I made a chocolatey Mocha smoothie! I just poured in some unsweetened vanilla almond milk, my favorite cold brew iced coffee, some Chocolate Hemp Pro 70, and some ice cubes for the most satisfying post-workout morning smoothie EVER!!
